Self Propelled Vacuum
Operating by using a basic transmission, the self propelled vacuum cleaner can move either forward or reverse by simply flipping a switch. This feature is becoming more and more popular for the simple reason it helps make the chore of vacuuming easier; you basically just walk behind the vacuum while exerting minimal effort.
Although the self-propelled vacuum cleaner takes little effort to operate when moving straight ahead or straight backwards, it can get difficult when you have to move around corners or through furniture. This is mainly due to the additional weight from the transmission. Working on stairs or carrying it up and down stairs is where one will really notice the additional weight of a self-propelled vacuum.
Costing more than a similar vacuum without this feature, you may ask yourself is it worth the extra cost of a having a self-propelled vacuum? Only you can decide. Weight is also an issue for some, but if your home has lots of carpeting, it may be just the thing to make your vacuuming job a lot easier.
